Eugénie Buckley is passionate about the power of major events to transform cities and deliver economic, social, and environmental outcomes.
She has held CEO roles with Suiko Consulting, Swimming Australia, Brisbane Roar FC, ICC Women’s World Cup 2009 and the Professional Footballers’ Association. She contributed to Australia’s High Performance Sport Strategy 2032+ and the AOC Powering Australia’s Future 10+10 Working Group, and sat as a representative on the Brisbane 2032 Carbon Footprint Reference Group.
With qualifications in Law, Commerce, and Sports Law, Eugénie has held senior legal and commercial roles with the International Cricket Council, Football Australia, and Rugby World Cup 2003. An inaugural member of the World Aquatics Integrity Unit Supervisory Council and the National Sports Tribunal, Eugénie was the first female appointed to an AFC Committee, the first Australian AFC Match Commissioner, and previously served as an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
