Timothy Hortz

Timothy Hortz is a senior executive within the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning and is responsible for leading the Department’s 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games infrastructure coordination obligations including delivery of the Athletes Villages infrastructure programs.

A distinguished public sector executive and program leader, Timothy has extensive experience in delivering complex and high-profile major public projects such as Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, the Herston Health Precinct Structure Plan and regional infrastructure planning for South East Queensland.

A recent graduate of the University of Queensland and Oxford University’s Leadership Academy, Timothy is an inclusive and dependable public sector leader and is passionate about working with his teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for Queensland.

  • Embedding sustainability and social impact through energy-efficient design, accessible housing, and inclusive public spaces to drive long-term value

  • Collaborating with private developers to ensure Games infrastructure transitions seamlessly into permanent mixed-use communities post-2032
